Rudding Park Wedding

Loved everything about this Rudding Park wedding. The day started with both D&J getting ready at Rudding Park hotel. Danielle’s Hair and Make up was by luxury wedding artist Sanni Sorma.

Everyone tells you that your photographer is the most important supplier and we knew from the moment we saw Jason’s work that we didn’t want anyone else for be our Rudding park wedding photographer. His ability to capture the emotion and atmosphere of the day via original and creative storytelling is unmatched.

From our first meeting together to discuss what we wanted, up to the day of the wedding, Jason really made the effort to understand our priorities and was always there for us, no matter what the question.

Jason and Dean are brilliant company and tons of fun to have at the wedding, getting thoroughly involved in the party and putting all our guests at ease to achieve some really cool shots. The resulting photographs speak for themselves and we couldn’t be happier. We now have a lifetime of memories which take us right back to those special moments with our friends and family – thank you!

Why D&J chose Rudding Park Wedding as their venue?

Justin and I have been visiting Yorkshire and the Dales for many years now and can’t get enough of the beautiful countryside. Rudding park for us had it all. Welcoming friendly staff, luxurious accommodation, an intimate kitchen garden for the ceremony and stunning gardens and grounds for our guests to explore. Refined and elegant, but unpretentious. The team ensured that our guests would have a wonderful experience and that was super important to us.

Rudding Park Wedding inspiration.

We wanted our wedding to be a celebration not only for us, but an occasion to bring together everyone that’s supported us and we’ve shared special memories with along the way. The idea of being centre of attention frankly made us both nervous so we kept the guest list small so that we could really enjoy the time with the people we love.

Any time during the planning process that we felt stressed about what we ‘should’ be doing, we focused on making it truly us – our music throughout the day ranged from Wolf Alice to High Contrast, but people loved it and our first dance (by Clearwater Creedence Revival) had everyone on the dance floor!

We were fortunate to find suppliers we loved and trusted explicitly in their expertise. By not being too prescriptive at the outset- we had lots of lovely surprises along the way! For instance, our florist only works with sustainable seasonal blooms, and we got married in a Yorkshire heatwave, so even though we’d discussed ideas and preferences, we didn’t really know how it’d all turn out on the day.

I’m glad we did because the florals truly made the venue reflect us with a healthy dose of greenery helped to convey the sense of bringing the outdoors in.

The food was all catered for by the venue and chosen by us after an all day tasting session! Making sure we had a wide selection of vegetarian options was key as we had many vegetarian/ vegan guests. The locally baked bread was outstanding and truest made the meal! We wanted our guests to feel relaxed throughout the day and not feel too formal
