Oxfordshire Wedding Photographer as seen on Rock My Wedding
As an Oxfordshire Wedding photographer, I was delighted to capture a Rousham Gardens wedding. I love catching such special moments in such a beautiful setting. The manicured lawns, walled gardens, maze-like hedges, and ponds are any photographer’s dream. In particular, Alice & Theo’s wedding was exceptional, as their aesthetic choices and attention to detail truly made each photograph magical.
Alice and Theo always imagined the perfect location for their special day would be abroad. Yet, in the end, they decided to look for something closer to home. Luckily, Alice found the most incredible spot for their special day – the Rousham House & Gardens in Oxfordshire. From the moment she looked at the breathtaking gardens, lawns, and nearby river, she knew they had found the ideal venue. With a little bit of creativity and a lot of love, they were able to turn this stunning location into a wedding venue that was uniquely their own, blending the Mediterranean with English country charm.
Alice & Theo’s wedding day began with the bride and groom relishing every moment as they prepared for their ceremony. Anna Davies, a professional hair and makeup artist, did a wonderful job creating a soft and sophisticated look for Alice. The bride looked gorgeous in her simple yet elegant Jenny Lessin wedding gown with a beautiful lace slit and a delicately low-cut back. Her bridesmaids looked lovely, too, dressed in neutral-coloured summer dresses and carrying light flower bouquets. Theo added a Hugo Boss navy suit and a cream-coloured waistcoat to the Mediterranean aesthetic. Ultimately, they were all perfectly dressed for the summer heat starting to build up for the day.
The bride was stunning as she went down the aisle, and her groom was beaming with the biggest smile. Their ceremony was beautiful and traditional. Everyone in the church was moved by their joy and love, which radiated from the couple’s faces as they said their vows. I was thrilled to be able to be their Oxfordshire wedding photographer and catch those emotional moments on film.
Rousham House and Garden
Once all the guests moved to the reception, we could absolutely see why Alice & Theo picked the Rousham House wedding venue. They held a marquee right in the gardens, so everyone could enjoy being surrounded by their beauty and serenity. Likewise, the venue coordinator was able to decorate and pull off the styling of the couple’s dreams. The wooden furniture, the bohemian couches and chairs, the casual throws and pillows, the flowers, and the detailed stationary by Sophie Elisabeth were immaculate.
Michael G Moore’s music in the background added to the joyous atmosphere, and everyone could relax and enjoy the day. Plus, it was the hottest day of the year, so it felt like the destination wedding the couple initially wanted.
As the sun began to sink lower in the sky, everyone gathered to share heartfelt speeches and raise a toast to the newlyweds. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and emotion, and a tear or two was always in someone’s eye. These moments quickly turned to pure joy as the dancefloor opened up and the music picked up for some old-fashioned fun. Amid all the excitement, I managed to sneak the couple away for a few minutes and capture some more romantic moments.
Alice & Theo’s wedding was truly amazing. It was a day filled with so much love and romance, and I felt so honoured to be their Oxfordshire wedding photographer. From the touching conversations to the spectacular reception, everything was delightful. I hope they cherish their photos and remember their special wedding day forever.
