Annika and Richard’s wedding was an absolute dream come true for both the newlyweds and all their guests. They held a beautiful luxury marquee wedding at home on the Isle of Wight, allowing them to perfect each detail and make their day truly special. From the breathtaking views of the water to the exquisite floral arrangements to the immaculate lighting choices, it was clear that the couple poured their hearts and souls into creating a day that nobody will ever forget.
Annika and her bridesmaids started the day bright and early with some champagne to celebrate the occasion. Meanwhile, the boys kicked back by the water with some football and beers. It was a great way to start such a remarkable day. Annika found the most lovely wedding dress from the designer, Rime Arodaky. The dress had a low back, sheer lace detailing, and a matching side slit. She paired her gown with elegant Clarita high heels by Alexandre Birman. Her natural beauty shone through with barely-there makeup and a simple hairstyle, completed with Luna Bea floral hairpins and a trailing veil. Alongside her, her bridesmaids wore high-neck, long white jumpsuits to match.
While everyone undoubtedly had their eye on Annika, the groom also looked every bit the dapper gentleman. It was clear that thought and care had gone into his Hellewells suit, from the clean-cut lines to the colour scheme matching the seascapes perfectly. His groomsmen wore traditional suits to complement his attire.
Once everyone was ready, everyone went to the family church, the Holy Trinity Church in Bembridge. The atmosphere was filled with joy and anticipation as we eagerly awaited the bride’s entrance. The one and only Michael G Moore played his acoustic guitar, filling the church with Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles. Amanda, the vicar, performed a beautiful ceremony filled with love and warmth. She also welcomed and facilitated my Isle of Wight wedding photography, allowing for easy capture of the couple’s precious moments and the guests’ excitement.
The weather was absolutely divine, prompting me to take Annika and Richard to a nearby Bembridge beach for some amazing photographs by the water. I captured some stunning solo stills of the bride and groom, as well as some deeply romantic and emotional photos that I hope will hold a special place in their hearts forever. Meanwhile, their guests had already started the reception festivities at their family home and gardens.
The luxury marquee wedding reception was more than impressive. The couple took a specious, blank canvas from Sperry Tents UK and made it personal and unique to fit their ideal wedding vibes. The delicate foliage and florals provided by Flowers by Nic at the Floral Boutique and antique Edison bulbs strung up created a magical atmosphere. Plus, the wooden chairs and tables, classic neutral tablecloths, pretty stationary from Lovebird Jeweller, and long-stemmed candles introduced an effortlessly beautiful ambiance.
Soon after everyone crowded into the marquee, they appreciated a delicious wedding breakfast from the Ministry of Food Hampshire. Then, speeches, conversation, music, and dancing followed and lasted well into the night.
Throughout the afternoon and evening, I was thrilled to capture more phenomenal photographs of Annika and Richard. We stumbled upon several picturesque backdrops outside the family home, in a nearby field, and beneath those vintage light bulbs as night fell. The photos turned out stunning and could easily be mistaken for fairytale scenes.
I am so grateful to have been a part of Annika and Richard’s marquee wedding day. I wish them all the best in their journey together and hope they will always look back upon their Isle of Wight wedding photographs with fond memories. Congratulations!
