Pylewell House Wedding

A Pylewell House Wedding to remember and what a day it was, such a great location to have in Lymington and so close to the Isle of Wight.

We saw a friend’s wedding photos that Jason had taken and they were so beautiful I knew I wanted him to photograph our wedding. After scrolling through his real weddings, and seeing how he could make even bad weather days look good, there was no question but to have him with us on the day!

Pylewell House

Katy and Pete loved Pylewell from the second they first arrived, the beautiful long driveway, the stunning views of the Solent and the lovely team. We always knew we wanted an outdoor ceremony and reception and a Pylewell house wedding offered us that with a sea view!

Inspiration for a Pylewell House Wedding

There are so many gorgeous inspiration pics online it was so hard to pick just one idea, in the end, I went with all neutrals and thought I can add in a colour at the last minute if I wanted to! We had the bridesmaids and best men in neutrals and then Pete popped in his linen blue suit, I wanted all natural textures to match the relaxed outdoors that Pylewell Park had. I went for dried flowers so I could keep them after the wedding, and incorporated dried Lunaria from my Granny’s garden.

We made as much as we could ourselves, including invites & other stationary, all the table decorations and floral arrangements as well as the bridesmaid bouquets I made myself, I dried all the confetti from bouquets and flowers from the garden. So many people commented on all the lovely thoughtful touches and it was so nice to see it all come together after years of planning!

Some other personal things we had were afternoon tea with all the cakes made and provided by family friends, our wedding cake baked by a close family friend and Vietnamese silk lanterns brought over by our friends (after we fell in love with Hoi An and its lanterns whilst travelling together!). The dress was actually the easiest part….!

The Honeymoon

Katy + Pete jetted off after their big day and spent two weeks in Italy, exploring Sorrento and Amalfi, revisiting Rome and the most gorgeous few days in Florence!
