Today, I want to share with you the incredible story of Jayne and James’ wedding. It was an afternoon tea wedding held in Shanklin on the Isle of Wight. And let me tell you, it was absolutely glorious!
The couple chose Appuldurcombe House for their ceremony, and it was simply stunning. The historic building provided the perfect backdrop for their vows, and their guests were in awe of the breathtaking surroundings. The ceremony was heartfelt and emotional, and everyone present could feel the love between Jayne and James.
Now, let’s talk about James’ outfit. He wore a red velvet jacket from Noose and Monkey (which has now been rebranded to Twisted Tailor), and he looked absolutely dashing. The jacket added a touch of sophistication and style to his overall look, and it perfectly complemented Jayne’s beautiful wedding gown.
The floral arrangements at the wedding were done by Nic at the Floral Boutique, and they were simply stunning. The bouquets and centrepieces were filled with beautiful blooms, and they added a touch of elegance and colour to the festivities. Nic did an amazing job, and Jayne and James were thrilled with the results.
The wedding also had a fun and unique theme, with a deco of pineapples and a coconut shy. The couple wanted to create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for their guests, and they certainly succeeded. The decor was playful and creative, and it added a touch of whimsy to the proceedings.
Would you pose in the rain at your Afternoon Tea Wedding?
One of the highlights of the day was the magical couple photos taken in the rain. Even though it was a bit of a downpour, the couple and their photographer managed to capture some truly amazing moments. The rain added an extra layer of romance and intimacy to the photos, and they will be treasured by Jayne and James for years to come.
Oh, and let’s not forget about James’ wardrobe change during the reception! He switched into a bold and daring leopard print Noose and Monkey jacket, while the lucky photographer (that’s me!) got to borrow his red velvet jacket for a while. Since then, I’ve brought my own in green and blue – wink!
Jayne and James definitely made this afternoon tea wedding day truly their own. In fact, this fabulous wedding was featured on Rock My Wedding, a popular wedding blog known for its stunning inspiration and creative ideas. The blog post showcased all the details of the day, including the beautiful ceremony, the fun decor, and of course, the magical couple photos in the rain. Additionally, one of the bridal party photos was even featured on Brides.com, a well-known wedding website that provides inspiration and advice for couples planning their big day. It’s safe to say that Jayne and James’ wedding was a true inspiration to all who saw it!
Overall, Jayne and James’ wedding was a beautiful celebration of love, friendship, and happiness. We also got too enjoy the Magic of theater.
